The municipality of São Gonçalo hosted various cultural, musical, and sporting activities throughout late September 2026.

In mid-September, the São Gonçalo Fest 2026 featured musical performances by artists such as Belo and Mumuzinho at the Arena São Gonçalo, alongside religious activities. The festival included sets from the Orquestra Municipal de São Gonçalo and local pagode groups.

Later in the month, the city held the VI Mostra de Dança Solidária MuDANÇAS, a dance event requiring food donations for social causes, and the Samba da Feira de Neves. Community engagement continued with the 2nd MUVI Cycling Tour, which utilized a 4.3-kilometer route to promote urban mobility and sustainable transport.

Recent reports indicate that these activities, including the dance showcases, samba performances, and the MUVI cycling tour, are part of a broader period of community engagement that also includes revitalization works at Praia das Pedrinhas.
