Ali Uğur Çelik, President of the Gökçeada Tourism Association, noted that the wind quality near Tuz Gölü is particularly high for athletes because the lack of construction allows it to intensify. To expand the economic impact, efforts are underway to extend the peak tourism season from July and August into June and September through improved ferry services and various festivals.
