Raleigh, North Carolina, has hosted several large-scale cultural and musical events in its downtown area and surrounding campuses.

In September, the city held the 17th Annual African American Cultural Festival of Raleigh & Wake County, which drew approximately 40,000 attendees. The event featured musical performances and community storytelling. Concurrently, the Hopscotch Music Festival took place across various local venues.

By October, the city hosted the second annual Raleigh Wide Open music festival. Produced by the nonprofit PineCone, this three-day event serves as a successor to the World of Bluegrass festival. While maintaining roots in bluegrass and Appalachian music, the programming expanded to include global traditional sounds, such as Mexican string music and Icelandic acoustic performances.
