From September 12 to 18, the city hosted ‘Cádiz, Ciudad-Mundo: La Forja de un Emporio,’ a program highlighting its historical role as a global commercial hub between Europe, the Americas, and Asia during the Early Modern period. This initiative included academic conferences featuring researchers from the Universities of Cádiz, Navarra, and Seville, covering topics such as maritime navigation and trade monopolies. To complement these lectures, the Municipal Tourism Delegation organized free guided walking tours, including ‘Siglo de Oro Gaditano’ routes and tours dedicated to the ‘Cargadores a Indias’.
