The state of Rio de Janeiro has seen a series of diverse cultural, religious, and sporting initiatives. In Niterói, recent activities included the Mar de Música Song Festival, which opened registrations to promote independent music and diversity, and the Cultura Surda project, which focused on integrating deaf artists into public cultural life through Libras poetry and dance.

Subsequent events in the region include the 391st edition of the Festa da Penha, a religious festival in Rio’s North Zone featuring masses and musical performances, and the Festival Beach Tennis Niterói, a multi-disciplinary event combining sports competitions with music, art, and gastronomy.
