Cultural and tourism activities in the Lausitz regions of Germany have transitioned from major arts festivals in early September to seasonal family-oriented autumn programming.

In early September, the Lausitz Festival in Görlitz featured concerts, readings, and theatrical performances supported by 500,000 euros from the Free State of Saxony to aid the region’s structural transformation. Concurrently, the openart Lausitz Biennale held an ‘Endstation Jam’ in Cottbus, where 51 artists created graffiti art at the former Großenhain station site.

By late September and October, the focus shifted toward seasonal autumn activities in Oberlausitz. Scheduled events include magic school programs at Schloss Hoyerswerda, Halloween-themed ‘Höllowum’ programs, and an apple festival at Barockschloss Rammenau. Tourism in Bautzen continues to emphasize historic architecture and Sorbian traditions, including specialized mustard tours.
