Initial efforts focused on gastronomic tourism, such as the ninth annual ‘Day of Okra’ held in the Old Town. Tourism officials noted that these culinary events, which include upcoming promotions like the ‘Autumn Basket’, aim to connect local products with modern tourism to attract visitors. In addition to culinary traditions, the city prepared for the 5th jubilee edition of the Mundijal prijateljstva (World Cup of Friendship). Organizer Pavle Pepđonović described the event as a manifestation that transcends sports, serving as a celebration of unity and human values that has evolved from a local dream into a collective regional gathering. The fifth edition of the tournament has officially opened, bringing together over 500 sports legends, journalists, and officials from the former Yugoslavia. The event serves as a movement for peace, unity, and mutual respect among former regional rivals. During the event, basketball legend Dino Rađa addressed the difficulty of comparing his generation to modern NBA stars like Nikola Jokić and Luka Dončić, noting that different eras, playing styles, and rules make such comparisons impossible. Rađa also offered a tribute to coach Željko Obradović. The program included emotional tributes to several sporting figures and intellectuals, including Dražen Dalipagić, Duško Vujošević, Ivan Gudelj, Goran Sukno, Božo Koprivica, and Edin Avdić. Family members of the deceased were in attendance to witness the honors. Additionally, the event featured the premiere of a documentary film about legendary Partizan footballer Momčilo Vukotić, which included reflections from Dejan Savićević. Igor Milanović delivered a speech honoring Sukno, describing him as a highly reliable defensive player and a former national team captain who was a key scorer during the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. ## Claims - The fifth Friendship World Cup (Mundijal prijateljstva) was officially opened in Ulcinj.
