In Kocaeli, local authorities are focusing on long-term cultural planning and commemorative arts. The Kocaeli Culture Council was organized to bring together various stakeholders to establish a 5-to-10-year roadmap aimed at increasing cultural accessibility for diverse groups and expanding arts initiatives to local neighborhoods.

Following these planning efforts, the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality prepared the ‘103 Works: Colors of the Republic’ exhibition at the İzmit Fuarpark Art Gallery to mark the 103rd anniversary of the Republic. This exhibition features works from 103 different artists, including students and academics.

Simultaneously, in Düzce, urban development projects are underway in the Kültür Mahallesi district. The local government is working to integrate existing park spaces and sports fields into a unified 46-decare central park designed to create architectural harmony around a local monument.
