Cultural activities in the Ascoli Piceno and Pesaro regions have included international competitions and academic conferences.

In late September, Ascoli Piceno hosted the tenth edition of the ‘Poesia in musica: verso l’Assoluto di Mauro Crocetta’ international composition competition. Organized by the Mauro Crocetta Foundation and the ‘Gaspare Spontini’ Musical Institute, the event concluded with musician Dardust receiving the ‘Premio Cultura 2026’.

Following this, the Pinacoteca Civica in Ascoli Piceno scheduled the IV International Conference ‘Literature, Arts, Psychoanalysis and Society’ for early October. This symposium, dedicated to critic Mario Pazzaglia, examines the roles of intellectuals and artists in contemporary society. Additionally, the Circolo Amici della Lirica ‘G. Rossini’ in Pesaro initiated the ‘Aspettando gli Echi rossiniani’ cycle, featuring the premiere of hymns by composer Giovanni Morandi.
