Belgrade is hosting various cultural and performing arts events throughout October 2026.

Early in the month, the city scheduled the premiere of the DreamWorks Animation film ‘Island of Memories’, inspired by Philippine mythology, alongside a modern adaptation of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ by the Okret Teatar theater troupe.

Later in the month, the cultural programming expanded to include the 58th Belgrade Music Festival (BEMUS), which opened with a gala concert featuring Russian opera stars performing works by Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, and Rimsky-Korsakov. Additionally, the French musical-opera ‘Molière, l’Opéra Urbain’ was scheduled to perform at the Sava Centar, blending 17th-century themes with modern pop elements like rap and slam poetry.
