In September 2026, Cologne is scheduled to host several cultural events. The street festival ‘Dä Längste Desch vun Kölle’ will take place in the Severinstraße district on September 19 and 20, featuring approximately 120 vendors and a special shopping day on Sunday.

Following this, the third ‘Daach der kölschen Sproch’ (Day of the Cologne Language) will be held on September 27. Supported by Mayor Torsten Burmester, the event intends to celebrate local dialect and identity through over 60 activities, including workshops, concerts, and guided tours. A program at the Historical Town Hall will also commemorate the 150th birthdays of Konrad Adenauer and Willi Ostermann.
