Romania is hosting various international cultural exchange programs involving music and folklore. In October 2026, the professional folklore ensemble ‘Junii Sibiului’ represented Romania in Japan through a project titled ‘From the Miorița Ballad to the Master Bird – Romanian Traditional Echoes in the Land of the Rising Sun’. This initiative included musical performances, traditional dances, and exhibitions of Brâncuși’s work in Tokyo and at Shirayuri University. Concurrently, the ‘Aripi’ (Wings) tour brought Japanese pianists to perform recitals in Bucharest, Brașov, and Ciolcești.
