The state of Durango has hosted several cultural initiatives. The ‘De Norte a Sur’ art project was launched as part of the Festival Revueltas 2026, featuring works from 100 artists and a large collective mural at the Museo de Historia y Arte Contemporáneo Palacio de los Gurza. This project includes a planned tour to Oaxaca to promote regional artistic production.

In late October, the Muuki 2026 Day of the Dead Festival included a musical tribute titled ‘Una historia de amor y muerte’ at the Teatro Victoria, honoring Chavela Vargas and José Alfredo Jiménez.
