In October 2026, Massachusetts is hosting several cultural and community festivals. The HONK! street brass band festival is taking place in Somerville and Cambridge, featuring over 33 bands performing various genres including Klezmer, Balkan, Brazilian samba, Afrobeat, and hip-hop. The event is noted for its use of maximalist costumes and its focus on themes such as environmental protection and social justice.

Other scheduled activities in the region include the Fenway Cultural District’s 25th Opening Our Doors Festival and an Indigenous Peoples’ Day Open House at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
