The state of Zacatecas has implemented new cultural initiatives aimed at strengthening local identity and community bonds. The administration of Governor David Monreal Ávila established the Day of the Dead Festival and the Festival of Lights as permanent cultural fixtures to promote social well-being and family interaction in public spaces.

Building on these cultural efforts, six students from the Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Zacatecas (Cobaez) Pinos campus were selected by the Mexican Secretariat of Culture to participate in the national “Fiesta de Culturas Comunitarias, Voces Vivas”. Scheduled for November 7 in Mexico City, the event will feature members of the “Semilleros Creativos de Paz” focusing on theater and dance to promote cultural diversity.
