Technical education and cybersecurity training are expanding across Mexico and Colombia. In Mexico, the Universidad Politécnica de Yucatán (UPY) recently graduated its first cohort of 22 cybersecurity specialists, a move intended to address regional demand for digital security talent.

Building on these educational developments, Colombia has introduced ‘Ciberseguridad 360’, a free virtual program launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (MinTIC) and ColCERT. The 40-hour curriculum provides training in cryptography, digital forensics, and penetration testing for adults and public sector personnel using simulated incident response dynamics.
