Developments in Polish cycling and pedestrian infrastructure continue to focus on large-scale regional projects and localized urban improvements. The Velo Warta project in the Łódź Voivodeship has progressed to a formal tender stage. This tender seeks to develop a programmatic concept for the 236 km route along the Warta River, encompassing technical solutions, environmental analyses, geological studies, and 3D visualizations to guide future construction, including rest areas and bicycle stands.

In Gliwice, new traffic organization has been implemented on Gwarków Street, allowing cyclists to ride against the flow of traffic within a ‘Tempo 30’ zone. This area features island speed bumps to maintain a 30 km/h limit. Furthermore, the city has secured nearly 11 million PLN to complete missing sections of regional bicycle route 603 between 2026 and 2028. Following a former narrow-gauge railway, the project includes a 1.5-kilometer stretch between Knurowska and Łanowa streets to help connect Siewierz, Tarnowskie Góry, Gliwice, Rybnik, and Wodzisław Śląski.

Localized safety efforts remain active. In Gęsice, the Powiatowy Zarząd Drogowy w Oławie is constructing a 300-meter sidewalk along county road 1942D. This project, a collaboration between the Domaniów municipality and Oława county, includes modernizing five private driveway entrances to separate pedestrian traffic from vehicles.

Regional expansion also continues through various EU-funded initiatives, such as the 2.3 km asphalt path in the Góralice region connecting Trzcińsko-Zdrój and Myślibórz to the ‘BLUE VELO’ route, and the opening of a new pocket park in Gniezno.
