Organizers in the Alentejo region of Portugal are planning major cycling events to promote sports tourism and regional cooperation. 

The fifth edition of the EuroBEC Granfondo is scheduled for April 11, 2027, starting and finishing in Elvas and connecting to Campo Maior and Badajoz. Organizers expect more than 2,000 cyclists to participate in the race, which features updated routes designed to showcase spring landscapes. 

Additionally, the fourth edition of the Granfondo Serra D’Ossa is set for October 4. This event is expected to attract approximately 1,700 participants across five municipalities: Alandroal, Vila Viçosa, Borba, Estremoz, and Redondo. Local officials noted that collaboration between these municipalities is essential for managing the event and boosting the local economy.
