The town of Capalbio hosted the 1st Gran Premio Città di Capalbio, also known as the Memorial Romano Scotti. This event functioned as the fifth stage of the Giro delle Regioni Ciclocross and the third round of the Italian Cyclocross Championship for Clubs.

Organizers prepared a technical 2,200-meter course near the Tronchetti Provera sports field, noting that the clay-heavy soil of the Maremma region would create challenging conditions. Following the event, results indicated that Corrado Cottin secured third place in the Master category (fascia 3) and first in the M7 class, extending his lead in the general classification. In the Juniores category, Scalorbi achieved his first seasonal victory after a decisive acceleration in the final laps.
