Czech football clubs Zlín and Slezský FC Opava transitioned from preseason friendly matches to competitive league play in the Chance Národní Liga.

During friendly preparations, Zlín suffered a defeat against Prostějov, a result coach Pavel Hoftych described as a “valuable learning experience” despite defensive errors. Slezský FC Opava recorded a 1-1 draw against MFK Ružomberok, with coach Ondřej Smetana noting a “loss of organization” late in the match.

Following an international break, the league resumed with both clubs facing significant roster challenges. Opava prepared for its home debut under Smetana while managing multiple absences due to suspensions, injuries, and visa issues. Meanwhile, Zlín sought its first victory of the season in a matchup against FK Pardubice, playing without center-back Jakub Černín following a red card.
