Sources: 4. Developments: 2. Recent regional and professional football matches in the Czech Republic have been marked by disciplinary actions and officiating controversies. The South Bohemian Regional Football Association issued several sanctions following violent incidents during the twelfth round of regional competitions. In Soběchleby, David Šanda received a ten-match suspension for insults and threats toward the head referee, while Maksym Rozhenov received a ten-match ban for a heavy foul. Additionally, coach Václav Havlík was fined, and Vadym Zujev received a one-match suspension. In a match between Nová Ves and Zdíkov, Jakub Kovář and Martin Vodák were issued red cards and suspensions for headbutting incidents, which were classified as gross unsportsmanlike conduct. In other matches, controversial refereeing decisions occurred during an Olomouc derby, where VAR prompted a penalty to be retaken. Experts questioned a ruling where a goal was disallowed because a player allegedly entered the penalty area prematurely. In Brno, a match between Zlín and Zbrojovka ended in a draw after a goal was scored from a corner following a time-wasting penalty against the goalkeeper. ## Timeline ### 2026-11-02: Czech football controversies involve penalty decisions and Sigma Olomouc B victory Refereeing disputes over penalty retakes and time-wasting penalties marked Czech football, while Sigma Olomouc B defeated SK Hranice 5:1. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/czech-football-controversies-involve-penalty-decisions-and-sigma-olomouc-b-victory ### 2026-10-30: Czech football disciplinary committee issues multiple bans and fines The South Bohemian Regional Football Association has handed out multiple bans and fines, including a ten-match suspension for a player in Soběchleby and sanctions for headbutting incidents in Nová Ves. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/czech-football-disciplinary-committee-issues-multiple-bans-and-fines --- Cite as: Czech football disciplinary and officiating issues.
