The Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra has conducted several notable programs featuring world premieres and classical masterpieces.

In early October, the orchestra performed the world premiere of Jan Kučera’s Violin Concerto, with violinist David Pokorný performing under the direction of David Pokorný. The program also included works by Charles Ives and Gustav Holst, accompanied by Carmina Bohemica and the Czech Radio Children’s Choir.

Later in the month, the orchestra, led by conductor Elias Grandi, held a concert at the Rudolfinum’s Dvořák Hall. This program featured the world premiere of Petr Wajsar’s ‘Katedrála’, a symphonic work inspired by the paintings of František Kupka. The performance also included Sergei Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 and Richard Strauss’s ‘Also sprach Zarathustra’.

Throughout this period, the Czech Radio station D-dur has maintained a diverse broadcast schedule of classical works, including compositions by Wagner, Mahler, and Beethoven.
