The Czech government has implemented initiatives to address household financial stability and energy efficiency.

To better understand consumer behavior amidst rising living costs, the state launched a specialized household spending survey. This program involves officials visiting approximately 3,000 selected households to collect granular data on expenditures related to food, transport, and services. Participants who complete an eight-week tracking period using provided diaries receive gift vouchers totaling 3,000 CZK.

Simultaneously, the ‘Nová zelená úsporám Light’ program offers subsidies of up to 250,000 CZK to assist homeowners with energy-saving renovations. This program specifically targets lower-income groups, such as retirees, to fund improvements like insulation, window replacements, and the installation of heat pumps or solar technology. For those ineligible for direct subsidies, interest-free loans are available through participating financial institutions.
