Electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the Czech Republic is undergoing significant upgrades toward ultra-fast charging capabilities.

In mid-September, E.ON Drive Infrastructure launched the country’s first public ultra-fast charging station in Dolní Dvořiště. Located near the Austrian border on a major transit route, the facility provides power levels of 300 kW, 400 kW, and 600 kW. The site includes a dedicated transformer station designed to support passenger cars, buses, and heavy-duty electric trucks.

By late September, ČEZ reported further expansion of its network through its futurego brand in the Central Bohemian Region. In Úvaly, existing slow charging stations were replaced with ultra-fast chargers capable of delivering up to 320 kW. ČEZ noted that the company is prioritizing these high-power upgrades to accommodate vehicles with larger battery capacities, following a 53 percent year-on-year increase in energy consumption at ultra-fast stations.
