Following a 24-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the defense has come under scrutiny for allowing at least 375 yards in five consecutive games, a franchise record. Defensive coordinator Christian Parker has faced criticism, with analysts noting that the young coaching staff may lack the experience required for cohesive execution. In addition to yardage struggles, the defense has entered an eight-game drought without an interception, including a five-game stretch at the start of the season that marks the longest such period in franchise history. On the offensive side, quarterback Dak Prescott has moved to support tight end Jake Ferguson following a dropped pass in the loss to Tampa Bay.
