The Danish women’s national handball team has undergone roster evaluations and training developments under coach Helle Thomsen. Initial reports indicated potential changes during a training camp, including the appearance of playmaker Alberthe Hovgaard and interest from veteran Nadia Offendal regarding a potential comeback.

Following these developments, players Helena Elver and Mie Højlund have reunited with the national squad for the first time since October 2025. Coach Thomsen noted that the duo brings unique synergy and tactical continuity to the team. While Højlund was unable to travel to Romania for upcoming matches due to illness, the training camp allowed the coach to begin reintegrating the pair.
