German violinist David Garrett is releasing a new album titled ‘Immortal’ through the Deutsche Grammophon label. The project features a crossover blend of classical works and contemporary film scores, including arrangements of pieces by composers such as Bach, Mozart, Debussy, and Tchaikovsky, as well as music by John Williams.

Garrett co-arranged the tracks with John Haywood and Franck van der Heijden. Regarding the technical demands of the album, Garrett noted that Nováček’s ‘Perpetuum Mobile’ was the most difficult piece to perform, while identifying Debussy’s ‘Beau Soir’ as his favorite. A major world tour is scheduled to follow the release.
