DC Comics is expanding the reach and aesthetic of its Absolute Universe through specialized variant covers. Initially, the company announced a manga-inspired variant for Absolute Batman #25, designed by Clay Mann and Seth Mann to mimic a Japanese Shonen Jump anthology titled ‘Monthly Batman’.

Following this, DC and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products released a limited edition Indonesian variant cover for Absolute Batman #23 at Indonesia Comic Con 2026. Featuring artist Yasmine Putri, this release marks the first time a cover variant has been created specifically for the Indonesian market. Vikram Sharma, SVP and Head of APAC Consumer Products at Warner Bros. Discovery, noted that these activations aim to bring DC characters closer to local audiences.
