DC Virunga of Goma has qualified for the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup following a 1-0 victory against Seychelles' Bazar Brothers in Pretoria, South Africa. The decisive goal was scored by Gaga Yenga in the 40th minute.

The match was played as a single fixture after Bazar Brothers failed to appear for the first leg in Lubumbashi on September 6, citing health reasons. This scheduling change by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has been contested by the Congolese Football Federation (FECOFA), which has formally requested an explanation regarding the legitimacy of the Seychellois side's absence and the subsequent decision to convert the tie into a single match.
