Brazilian axé music singer Netinho, born Ernesto de Souza Andrade Júnior, died on October 13, 2026, at the age of 60 in Salvador, Bahia. His death followed complications from B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which had progressed to renal failure and multiple organ dysfunction.

Netinho was a prominent figure in Bahian music, gaining fame in the late 1980s with Banda Beijo and later achieving solo success with the 1996 anthem ‘Milla’.

Following his passing, his daughter, Bruna Trindade—an orthopedic specialist—used social media to express gratitude to fans for the “messages of affection, support, and comfort” received during the “difficult moment.” As part of her tribute, she also shared previously unseen footage of the singer performing on stage.

While his funeral and cremation were held in private ceremonies for close family and friends on October 14, his family has announced a public seventh-day mass to honor his memory. The service is scheduled for Monday, October 19, at 12:00 PM at the Igreja do Senhor do Bonfim in Salvador, allowing fans and friends to pay their final respects.
