Luděk Hrzal, a prominent Czech radio host and DJ associated with the station Evropa 2, has died at the age of 60 after battling leukemia. Hrzal had been fighting the disease since 2022 and underwent a bone marrow transplant in 2023, though the illness eventually returned in an aggressive form.

Following his death, a funeral was held at the Strašnice Crematorium. In accordance with Hrzal’s wishes for a celebratory atmosphere, attendees were requested to wear bright or floral clothing. During the service, radio host Leoš Mareš drew attention by wearing traditional black mourning attire, despite the requested dress code.
