Former NFL punter Kasey Redfern has died at the age of 35 following a battle with central nervous system lymphoma. He passed away on October 13, 2026, after having been diagnosed with brain cancer in May 2023.

Redfern’s professional career, which spanned from 2014 to 2019, included stints with several teams such as the Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Dallas Cowboys, and Atlanta Falcons. He played college football at Wofford.

His wife, Lauryl Redfern, noted that his recent health decline, which included cognitive issues and memory loss, was likely due to neurotoxicity resulting from three and a half years of medical treatments.
