The rock band Deep Purple celebrated their 60-year career with a summer concert series in Italy. Performing as the Mark IX lineup, the group played a mix of classic hard rock hits and newer material from their 2024 and 2026 albums. Observers noted that vocalist Ian Gillan has transitioned to a “more composed and seasoned delivery” compared to his earlier career.

In Germany, tribute acts have been performing the band’s repertoire. The group Purple Rising performed hits such as ‘Highway Star’ and ‘Black Night’ at the Kuba-Halle, while the band Black Night is scheduled to perform a range of the band’s eras, spanning from 1960s psychedelic rock to the Steve Morse era.
