Deepavali festivities are being organized across Singapore and Malaysia. In Singapore, the Indian Heritage Centre is hosting an Open House, while other events include the Namaste Bharat 2026 exhibition, a Diwali Dhamaka event at Sentosa, and musical performances at the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall.

In Malaysia, The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur is hosting cultural performances of traditional Indian dances, such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Odissi, alongside retail and dining festivities.

As the holiday approaches, Singaporean authorities and marketing agencies have released a comedy film titled ‘Family assemble!’ to promote the importance of family presence during the festive period. While the festival follows the Indian Lunar Calendar, Singapore observes the main festivities on the third day to honor the goddess Lakshmi.
