By early August the park was finished, officially opened to the public, and named "Denizli Karapınar Park" in recognition of Denizli’s support after the February 2023 earthquakes. The opening coincided with a visit from Denizli Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu on the quake’s third anniversary, during which he met Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere. The Adıyaman Municipal Council unanimously approved the park’s name, describing it as a symbol of the close friendship and inter‑municipal cooperation that helps heal the disaster’s wounds.
