Chairman Uğur Erdoğan has outlined a vision to diversify the Denizli economy by leveraging natural resources and production infrastructure. A primary objective is the expansion of thermal health tourism, specifically transitioning from day-trip models to high-standard, “5-star thermal health and accommodation facilities” in areas like Pamukkale and Karahayıt. This strategy, supported by a feasibility study from the South Aegean Development Agency (GEKA), aims to increase economic returns through longer visitor stays. Concurrently, the DTO has formalized its leadership for the new term. Following the official mandate, the board has appointed various officials to key positions, including the disciplinary board, the audit commission, and executive roles such as Vice Presidents and Treasurer. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-14: Denizli Chamber of Commerce begins new term with leadership appointments The Denizli Chamber of Commerce has begun its new term, appointing new leadership for its Disciplinary Board, Audit Commission, and Board of Directors under Chairman Uğur Erdoğan. 7 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/denizli-chamber-of-commerce-begins-new-term-with-leadership-appointments ### 2026-09-28: Denizli Chamber of Commerce targets 5-star thermal tourism growth Denizli Chamber of Commerce President Uğur Erdoğan aims to boost the local economy by developing 5-star thermal health tourism and integrating geothermal energy with sustainable agriculture. 6 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/denizli-chamber-of-commerce-targets-5-star-thermal-tourism-growth --- Cite as: Denizli Chamber of Commerce economic and leadership updates.
