Developments: 2. Indonesian players have seen mixed results as the Denmark Open 2026 progresses. In the men’s singles category, Alwi Farhan advanced to the quarterfinals after a straight-sets victory over fellow Indonesian Jonatan Christie. Farhan, who attributed his success to “improved emotional control,” was scheduled to face the fifth seed and local favorite, Anders Antonsen. In men’s doubles, the pair Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri have advanced to the final. After defeating Thailand’s Peeratchai Sukphun and Pakkapon Teeraratsakul in the quarterfinals, they secured their place in the championship match by overcoming China’s Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang in a three-game semifinal, winning 21-16, 16-21, 21-16. Fajar noted that the fast shuttlecock speed in Odense required tactical adjustments compared to previous tournaments. In the men's singles category, Denmark's Anders Antonsen has reached the final after defeating Christo Popov in the semifinals with a score of 9-21, 21-16, 21-13. Antonsen is set to face France's Alex Lanier in the championship match. However, the Indonesian women’s singles campaign faced a setback as Putri Kusuma Wardani was eliminated in the quarterfinals. Despite holding an early 11-3 lead in the first game, Wardani lost to China’s Wang Zhi Yi with a score of 17-21, 16-21, struggling against Wang’s aggressive tempo and attacks. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-15: Fajar/Fikri reach Denmark Open 2026 final after defeating China Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri reach the Denmark Open 2026 final after defeating China's Liang/Wang.
