The Denver Broncos have completed the activation of both Jonah Coleman and Jonathon Cooper to the 53-man roster.

Rookie running back Jonah Coleman, a fourth-round pick, has returned from injured reserve following a high-ankle sprain that sidelined him for four games. Coleman, who recorded 39 rushing yards and a touchdown earlier this season, is expected to provide a boost to the rushing attack ahead of the matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

Outside linebacker Jonathon Cooper has also been activated following a six-week absence on the NFL Commissioner’s Exempt List. His absence was related to June arrests involving domestic violence allegations and felony second-degree strangulation charges. While Cooper stated, ‘Nobody’s perfect, but there’s no excuses,’ and noted, ‘I do hold myself accountable and things are going to sort themselves out,’ the NFL has not yet issued a final ruling on potential disciplinary action regarding his legal case, which is scheduled for trial in March.

To accommodate these moves, the Broncos have placed outside linebacker Jonah Elliss on short-term injured reserve due to a lower-body injury, and running back Tyler Badie on injured reserve for a minimum of four weeks due to a thumb injury.
