The Traffic Department of the Federal District (Detran-DF) has implemented new digital services and safety protocols. The agency expanded its digital capabilities, enabling drivers to contest traffic fines and license suspensions online through the Detran-DF Service Portal or the Detran Digital app. This digital expansion includes the ability to submit appeals to the Administrative Board of Infraction Appeals (Jari) and the State Traffic Council using Gov.br accounts.

In addition to digital service updates, Detran-DF announced a public online auction for November 18 and 19, 2026, featuring preserved vehicles, scrap metal, and vehicles with unusable engines. The agency also issued safety guidelines for holiday travel, advising drivers to perform vehicle inspections on brakes, lighting, and tires, and emphasizing caution during rainy conditions.
