In Detroit, Michigan, a shooting occurred early Sunday morning at an after-hours strip club located on a residential street near the intersection of Prest Street and Eaton Avenue. According to Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison, the gunfire followed an altercation where “individuals decided to settle it with gun violence.” 

The incident resulted in the deaths of three men in their 30s. Four other victims, two men and two women in their 20s and 30s, were transported to hospitals in private vehicles with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Authorities noted that police had responded to seven calls at that specific address earlier in the year. Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield described the event as “heartbreaking,” requested community assistance to help bring justice, and pledged to crack down on illegal after-hours businesses.
