Deutsche Telekom has secured exclusive live media rights for the German 3. Liga through the 2030/31 season via its MagentaSport and MagentaTV platforms. The agreement with the German Football Association (DFB) covers all 380 matches per season, including promotion play-offs.

The rights auction yielded a record result of approximately 124 million euros, representing a 20% increase compared to the previous cycle. Under the new terms, the number of matches available on free-to-air television will decrease from 68 matches on ARD to a minimum of 38 matches per season starting in the 2027/28 season.

In addition to the 3. Liga, the deal includes rights for the Frauen-Bundesliga, various women's tournaments, and the 2028 and 2030 men's European Championships. The contract also provides for secondary rights for highlights and near-live clips to enhance digital visibility.
