The General Directorate of Transit and Land Transportation Security (DIGESETT) has undertaken initiatives to enhance road safety and institutional presence across different provinces in the Dominican Republic.

In Azua, Director General Pascual Cruz Méndez addressed community concerns regarding road safety by committing to increased agent deployment, motorized units, and a tow truck. The director also pledged to implement road safety education programs and stricter controls on heavy vehicle circulation.

Following these enforcement commitments, DIGESETT expanded its physical infrastructure by inaugurating a new headquarters in Moca, Espaillat province. The modern facility, provided by the Ministry of Public Works and Communications, includes specialized offices for accident procedures and human resources, intended to modernize operations and improve service delivery for the community.
