Sources: 5. Developments: 2. Digital transformation is characterized by the integration of digital technologies to reshape organizational activities and business processes. Management Information Systems (MIS) facilitate this transition by moving organizations from manual workflows toward automated, data-driven operations, which can reduce human error and improve decision-making through analytical tools. In practice, this involves Business Process Management (BPM) to standardize and optimize workflows, particularly in the public sector to increase transparency and efficiency. For specific organizations like the ACREDIA Group, transformation focuses on rethinking existing routines and redesigning processes from the ground up to increase flexibility. This has led to the implementation of cloud-based IT infrastructures and paperless offices. Technical methods for achieving these goals include server-based document processing, such as using LibreOffice in headless mode on Linux for automated PDF conversion, and utilizing containerized solutions like OnlyOffice via Docker to create scalable, collaborative environments. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-20: Digital transformation focuses on process redesign and automated document workflows Digital transformation strategies focus on process redesign, as seen with ACREDIA Group, alongside technical advancements in automated, server-based document conversion using LibreOffice and OnlyOffice. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/digital-transformation-focuses-on-process-redesign-and-automated-document-workflows ### 2026-09-16: Digital transformation through MIS and BPM Digital transformation relies on Management Information Systems for process automation and Business Process Management to optimize workflows in both private enterprises and government agencies. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/digital-transformation-through-mis-and-bpm --- Cite as: Digital transformation and process automation.
