# Digital voter tools in Sachsen-Anhalt elections

In preparation for the Sachsen-Anhalt state election, new digital tools have been introduced to assist voters in comparing political positions. The Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb) released its Wahl-O-Mat tool, which utilizes 38 theses to help users determine party alignment. 

Testing of various AI models, such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Mistral, using Wahl-O-Mat data showed significant inconsistencies, as models often provided different party recommendations for the same questions. Meanwhile, the platform Abgeordnetenwatch launched a candidate check portal covering 21 topics, including childcare and AI usage. Approximately 65 percent of direct candidates in Sachsen-Anhalt have participated in the portal, with the highest engagement seen among the CDU, Linke, SPD, and Greens.
