Sources: 23. Developments: 3. Singer Diljit Dosanjh originally scheduled his Aura India Tour concert at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for November 1, 2026. Following an appeal from Rajya Sabha MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney to respect the anniversary of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, the date was rescheduled to October 30. Initially, the Delhi Police denied security clearance for the October 30 event, citing “specific threat-related intelligence inputs” and heavy law and order commitments during the festive season. This denial placed the tour launch in jeopardy. It was later noted that the initial hesitation was also linked to a hoax bomb threat sent to several Delhi schools earlier in October, which included emails warning against the concert. However, the concert has now received official permission from the Delhi Police. Organizers clarified that the event was temporarily paused rather than cancelled. Following a meeting between the ticketing platform BookMyShow Live and police authorities to discuss enhanced security, traffic management, and crowd control measures, the administration granted the necessary clearance. Addressing the uncertainty on social media, the singer responded with a humorous video, urging fans to stop debating the event online and instead attend the performance. The concert marks the start of the India leg of the Aura India Tour. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-24: Delhi Police approves Diljit Dosanjh concert at JLN Stadium Delhi Police has granted permission for Diljit Dosanjh’s October 30 concert at JLN Stadium after organizers presented enhanced security and crowd-management plans. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/delhi-police-approves-diljit-dosanjh-concert-at-jln-stadium ### 2026-10-22: Diljit Dosanjh Delhi concert cleared by police after security concerns Delhi Police has granted permission for Diljit Dosanjh’s October 30 concert at JLN Stadium after organizers presented detailed security and crowd-management plans to address initial concerns. 18 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/delhi-police-deny-security-clearance-for-diljit-dosanjh-concert ### 2026-10-11: Diljit Dosanjh reschedules Delhi concert to avoid 1984 riots anniversary Diljit Dosanjh has moved his Delhi concert from November 1 to October 30, 2026, following a request to honor the memory of victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/diljit-dosanjh-reschedules-delhi-concert-to-avoid-1984-riots-anniversary --- Cite as: Diljit Dosanjh Delhi concert cleared after security review.
