Bulgarian tennis player Dimitar Kisimov competed in the Masters of Eight tournament in Chengdu, China, an elite competition for the top eight junior players under 18 years old.

Kisimov entered the tournament following a successful season that included winning the junior doubles title at the Australian Open and securing a men’s World Tennis Tour singles title in Serbia. Despite arriving in Chengdu without his luggage due to a lost transfer in Istanbul, he competed in a group stage alongside players from Austria, the United States, and Germany.

Kisimov ultimately finished the tournament in sixth place. He lost a fifth-place playoff against Austrian player Tilo Berman with a score of 3:6, 7:6(4), 4:6. Kisimov becomes the fourth Bulgarian player to reach the finals of this specific junior tournament.
