The inaugural Dinu Lipatti Music Festival is scheduled to take place in Tokyo from October 10 to 12, 2026. Organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tokyo, the Romanian Embassy in Japan, and the Min-On Concert Association, the event honors the Romanian pianist and composer.

As the festival approaches, details have emerged regarding a delegation of officials and artists from Argeș representing the Romanian county. The program includes performances by the Pitești Philharmonic and the Doina Argeșului Center, featuring works by Lipatti and George Enescu, as well as traditional music from the Argeș and Muscel regions and Japanese songs. The event will also feature a documentary exhibition supported by the Dinu Lipatti Memorial House Museum.

Due to high demand, all five scheduled concerts sold out ten days before the debut, prompting organizers to implement a lottery system for remaining access requests.
