Diplomatic activity in Kyiv has seen the arrival of new ambassadors from India and Germany. 

Anjani Kumar, an Indian Foreign Service officer, presented his ‘Letter of Credence’ to Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Olexandr Mischenko. Discussions between the two nations focused on economic cooperation, humanitarian engagement, and implementing agreements from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 2024 visit. Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also held talks with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha regarding peace negotiations and the global impact of the conflict on food and fuel security.

Concurrently, Germany’s new Ambassador, Boris Ruge, presented his credentials to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Zelenskyy acknowledged Germany’s significant support and the two leaders discussed expanding joint defense production.
