The skeletal remains of Marija Kepić, a 29-year-old woman who disappeared from Aranđelovac in October 2020, have been discovered near the Risovača cave approximately six years after her disappearance.

The discovery followed anonymous letters sent to the family in May, which claimed she was dead and provided specific location details. Following suggestions in the letters, the family used a drone to search the area, leading to the discovery of partially buried remains. DNA analysis has officially confirmed the identity of the remains.

The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Kragujevac has ordered forensic examinations to determine the exact cause and time of death and to establish whether the death was a result of a crime. Investigations are ongoing to identify the sender of the anonymous letters and to clarify the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
