Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer dismissed junior defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. from the football program following his arrest on misdemeanor charges of doxxing and harassing communications. Court documents and prosecutors allege that Kirkpatrick sent a profanity-laced Facebook message to a University of Alabama Police Department officer involved in a previous traffic stop. Additionally, Kirkpatrick allegedly posted a photograph of the officer and his family on social media. The officer, identified as Christopher Fuerch, reported feeling ‘immediately alarmed’ regarding the safety of himself and his family. Kirkpatrick, the son of former Alabama and NFL player Dre Kirkpatrick Sr., had appeared in the first seven games of the current season. This dismissal follows a history of legal issues, including a November 2025 arrest for reckless endangerment and attempting to elude, as well as a June charge for unlawfully operating a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident. He had previously faced suspensions following the 2025 traffic stop incident. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-27: Alabama dismisses Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. following police harassment arrest Alabama defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. has been dismissed from the football team following misdemeanor charges of doxing and harassing a University of Alabama police officer. 9 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/alabama-dismisses-defensive-back-dre-kirkpatrick-jr-following-arrest-1 ### 2026-10-24: Alabama football dismisses Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. following arrest Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer has dismissed defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. from the program following his arrest on misdemeanor charges of doxxing and harassing communications. 10 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/alabama-defensive-back-dre-kirkpatrick-jr-arrested --- Cite as: Dismissal of Alabama football player Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. CLSTR, https://clstr.news/situations/dismissal-of-alabama-football-player-dre-kirkpatrick-jr
